Cole (719) 526-6624 (Site Code DAKF06) The contractor is to provide registered nurses to supplement the nursing staff at Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH) at Ft. Carson, Colorado. Nurses will be required in the following areas: Intensive Care Unit and Post Anesthesia Care (Recovery Room) Units; Emergency Room; Newborn Nursery; Labor and Delivery; Postpartum, Pediatric, Psychiatric and Medical-Surgical Wards; and the Operating Room. Current estimate of the nursing hour requirement is between 3000 and 4000 hours per year. It is estimated that approximately 40% of the nursing hour requirement of the projected week is needed in the non-critical care areas, and 60% of the nursing hour requirement of the projected week is needed in the Critical Care areas (Intensive Care Unit, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Labor and Delivery, and Newborn Nursery). The Government anticipates a firm fixed price requirements contract for a Base Year and two Option Years, commencing 1 October 1996.
