Y -- REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS IN THE LONE STAR SYSTEM MANAGEMENT OFFICE, DALLAS/FT WORTH, TEXAS SOL DTFA07-96-R-00047. Due 062096. The Federal Aviation Administration, Southwest Region, intends to solicit and award a contract to Remove and Replace existing Underground Storage Tanks (UST) with newly installed Aboveground Storage Tanks (AST) located in the Lones Star System Management Office (SMO) at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, Fort Worth and Keller, Texas. The work consists of excavation, removal and disposal of the existing UST's, fuel contents, associated piping; removal and disposal of all concrete foundations, anchor pads, guard posts; proper disposal of the excavated materials including clean-up and disposal of any contaminated soils; installation and proper compaction of approved select backfill material; installation of new AST's as specified in Division IV, and restoration of all sites to their previous finished grade conditions in accordance with the specifications and attachments/drawings. Estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The proposed procurement is unrestricted regarding business size. The BOD is an approximate date only. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
