This solicitation is unrestricted, inviting full and open competition. Bids shall consist of one base bid and one option. The initial award may be only the base bid (Building 3251) or base bid and option 0001. The Contracting Officer has 365 days from date of initial award to exercise the option. However, if funding does not become available, the option will not be exercised at all. If the base bid and option are awarded simultaneously, work schedule will commence simultaneously. Bid evaluation will be based on total price for Base Bid and Option 0001. Scope of Work: Building 3251 - the work includes complete renovation of BOQ transient living quarters in order to comply with the Navy's new Quality of Life Standards, including abatement of existing asbestos and lead contained materials. Estimated Cost: $4 - $6 Million. Option 0001: Buildings 600A and 600 - the work includes complete renovation of BOQ transient living quarters in order to comply with the Navy's new Quality of Life Standards including abatement of existing asbestos and lead contained materials. Estimated Cost: $3 - $5 Million. There is a $450.00 (non-refundable) fee for the solicitation package. Hours for picking up plans from the office location (Building 746) are from 9:00-10:00 A.M. and 1:00-2:00 PM (no exceptions). Planholders lists will be mailed (not faxed) upon written request.
