Craig, GP56/Contracting Officer This project consists of providing labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of a two-story addition of approximately 23 feet by 23 feet to serve as a main entrance into the building and will include an elevator and stairs -- The work will consist of demolition of existing walls, addition of new walls, raised floor, power distribution and air conditioning systems, ceilings, lighting, auxillary power and fire detection and suppression systems -- The Government will continue to occupy and use portions of the facility during construction -- Contractor will be responsible for coordinating work to have little or no impact on the Government's use of the building -- Worksite is the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center, AL -- Period of performance is 160 calendar days -- Estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 - - Firms responding to this ad will be provided the solicitation package with drawings and specifications -- The bid opening date will be contained in the solicitation -- This procurement is a total small business set-aside -- The SIC Code is 1541 (General) and the corresponding size standard is $17 million -- All request for the solicitation package must be in writing -- No solicitation packages will be issued 10 days prior to scheduled bid opening -- Bid packages containing specifications and drawings are available at the non-refundable cost of $50.00 -- Payment must accompany the request and be made only in the form of a certified check or money order -- Money orders or certified checks should be made payable to ''NASA Cashier MSFC,'' and should be marked with the IFB number - - Personal and company checks are not acceptable -- All bid packages will be sent to requestors via first class mail -- No requests for special handling (Federal Express, Overnight Express, etc.), will be honored -- Telephone requests will not be honored -- Award of a contract for the project described above is subject to the availability of funds.
