The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) plans to issue a solicitation for one (1) Single Color, Single Rotating Drum Type, Gravure Cylinder Proof Press to be used for testing BEP gravure cylinders, inks and substrates. A determination has been made that this item is commercially available. The Contractor shall deliver, provide turnkey installation and testing of the gravure proof press. Also included is the delivery of all necessary drawings and manuals as well as training of BEP personnel in the operation and maintenance of the equipment. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded on a full and open competition basis. The solicitation will be available on or about May 28, 1996.
