58 -- STABILIZED MULTI-SENSOR THERMAL IMAGING SYSTEM POC Contact Code 8051, Roger Chastain, 812-854-5754 The Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center is seeking sources for Stabilized Multi-Sensor Thermal Imaging Systems for use on the MK V Special Operations Craft (SOC). Systems must be considered Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) or Non-Developmental Items (NDI), modified commercial item. Respondees, at a minimum, should respond with the following data: system name/nomenclature, system manufacturer (if different than responding or marketing company), stabilization characteristics in microradians as well as the number of true axes of stabilization (some systems may claim 4 axes of stabilization with a 4 degree of freedom gimbal that actually stabilizes the system in only 2 axes), field of regard in degrees, gimbal mounting position (gimbal down is considered chin mountable on a helicopter where gimbal up is 180 opposite as applicable to the MK V SOC), Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) bandwidth ( interchangeable 8-12 and 3-5 FLIR~s are desirable), FLIR detector type with number of elements and detector material, IFOV, FLIR Fields-of-View (FOV) in degrees, NEDT, Horizontal and Vertical MRTD data points for each FOV (measured data points are preferable to predicted ones), MDT data points for each FOV, day TV detector type, TV spectral bandwidth, TV resolution in X by Y pixels with the number of horizontal lines, TV sensitivity in Lux, TV FOV~s in degrees, laser range finders and designator options (an interchangeable range finder and designator is desirable), laser wavelength, laser frequency, laser accuracy and min/max range, laser pulse repetition rate and duty cycle, turret size, turret weight, total system weight including VCR and cables, total number of system components including VCR but excluding cables, system power requirements (24 VDC operation is desired), video output standard, autotracker type (correlation, centroid, etc.), data I/O available to output fire control information, LOS pointing accuracy while under autotrack condition, system ROM cost in quantities of 20 or more, system availability in days ARO, video monitor sizes and types available (dimmable LCD flat panel monitors are desired), VHS video for each type of FLIR or TV included above, and system sales history to DOD and non-DOD customers (include previous DOD contract numbers). In addition, options such as low light level TV, automatic acquisition video trackers, automatic target recognition, and environmental/Mil. Std. qualifications are of particular interest. The response should also indicate technical and contractual points of contact, the size of the business, and whether the respondee is a dealer or manufacturer of the item.
