This announcement provides notice for ''Industry Day'' and for the intent to issue RFP F41624-96-R-5021 for Logistics Technology Research Support (LTRS). The advance notice was published previously under R&D Sources Sought HSC/PKRH#96-08 on 14 Mar 96. The Armstrong Laboratory, Human Resources Directorate, Logistics Research Division, (AL/HRGA), Wright-Patterson AFB OH is contemplating the award of a 48 month program to conduct a technical research effort which will provide required state-of-the-art technology to fulfill short-notice, short-term needs. The effort will parallel and support large-scale division programs. The needs to be addressed in this effort are to obtain specialized technical research support in areas such as logistics plans, acquisition, aircraft maintenance, supply, transportation, human factors, information integration, and system and human modeling. A Cost-Reimbursable CPFF, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract with a contract maximum ordering amount of $4.1 million is contemplated for this effort. THIS PROCUREMENT IS a FULL and OPEN COMPETITION. It is estimated that the final Request for Proposal will be released in mid June 1996. Industry Day is scheduled for 14 May 96, 8:00AM-12:00PM ET, Armstrong Laboratory, Building 441, Auditorium, Area B at Wright-Patterson AFB OH. Seating for the conference will be limited to two representatives from each company. Additionally, one-hour, one-on-one conference periods will be available starting the afternoon of 14 May 96 for serious offerors to ask competition sensitive questions. One-on-one conference periods are by appointment only and will not be limited in seating.
