The purpose of this contract is to secure a timber stand examination and pre-cruise on approximately 7,000 acres over 106 potential units on the Cleveland Penninsula in Southeast Alaska. The work area includes stands surrounding the area north of Helm Bay and to the south of Spacious Bay. This survey shall be done by measuring and recording 794 stand examination plots distributed throughout the designated timber stands. The project may be reached only by floatplane, helicopter, or boat. A skiff may be used to get to some of the timber stands near the shore. Contract time is 180 calendar days.
