(703) 247-1911. The Technology Initiatives Game is sponsored by the
Chief of Naval Operations, Director, Test and Evaluation and Technology
Requirement (N091). It is designed to provide a forum where senior Navy
technologists and warfighters, in combination with industry
representatives, develop technology based concepts to satisfy critical
shortfalls which the U.S. Navy will face by the year 2015. The mission
areas to be addressed at TIG-96 are encompassed within the current
doctrine of Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTW). Examples of
these missions include but are not limited to: Sanctions Enforcement,
Protection of Shipping, Show of Force, Punitive Strikes,
Counter-Subversion, Counter-Terrorism, Peace Keeping/Making,
Counter-Proliferation and Counter-Narcotics. The game will be played in
a seminar format with key industry and DoD technology managers.
Industry participation will be determined by random selection from
those requesting to attend and will be limited to 30 people.
Participants must possess a current SECRET clearance and should be
knowledgeable about state-of-the-art technology in support of the above
mission areas. The game will be held at the Defense Logistics Agency,
Ft Belvoir, Virginia from 9-13 September 1996. Total DoD and industry
participation will be 130 people. Names of proposed attendees,
technical and/or operational experience and security clearance
information should be provided by 15 June 1996 to Mr. Charlie
