Z -- ALTERATION AND RENOVATION TO BARRACKS, BUILDING #33 TO PROVIDE PHASED RENOVATION AT THE U.S. COAST GUARD YARD IN BALTIMORE, MARYLAND SOL DTCG40-96-B-30029 DUE 070196 POC Melissa Prestipino, Contract Specialist, (410) 636-4420, Mary Jo Staron, Contracting Officer, (410) 636-4343 Provide material and services necessary to complete phased renovation of barracks building including, but not limited to, the construction of stairwell, wall partitions, individual lavatories within rooms, replacement of hot/cold water piping and HVAC systems, and asbestos abatement. All work shall be completed within 300 calendar days. Bidders will be furnished one full set of drawings and one half size set of drawings. The solicitation, plans and specification may be obtained by submitting a request and a check, made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard, in the amount of $25.00. (This cost of $25.00 is non-negotiable and non-refundable). The estimated cost of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000,00. The solicitation is unrestricted IAW the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. All interested parties may request a copy of the solicitation. For Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, Women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
