202/366-6699 The U.S. Dept. of Transportation (DOT) plans to issue a
written Request for Quotation (RFQ) under simplified acquisition
procedures to purchase the following: EPE Technologies Inc power
distribution units (PDU), 125KVA, .8pf (Rated) 480VAC, 3 Phase 4 wire
(output) DPS-2500, Model PD168N48A12-125 - 2 each - to include main
input ''shunt trip'' circuit breaker, K-20 isolation transformer, 3
each 42 pole sq-d NQOP panelboards, individual panelboard main circuit
breaker, sq-d Powerlogic circuit monitor 2150; freight - 1 lot;
start-up and commissioning - 1 lot; and installation - 1 job; 100 foot
cable extensions - 1 each; connect cables to two (2) new PDU's - 1
job; de-install/remove 4 existing PDU's - 1 job; remove 2 ''J'' boxes
from PDU # 3 and 4 - 1 job. Work shall be performed on two (2) separate
Sunday nights. DOT has determined that no other brand is in the best
interests of the Government and therefore no substitutions are
acceptable. This procurement is set-aside for 100% small business
concerns. Written responses to this RFQ should be submitted to this
office within 15 days from the date of this publication and can be
faxed to Heidi Boecher on 202/366-9848. Anticipated date of award is
June 10, 1996. This notice is for informational purposes for Ninority,
Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Depatment of
Transporation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvanted Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loan are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
line of credit is $500,000. For further information and application
