Buyer/Contracting Officer is J. Fackenthal. Temporary airfield lighting
requirements. Minimum Operating Strip Lighting Systems (MOSLS)
consisting of the following: Minimum Operating Strip Lighting Kit
(MOSKIT) P/N S1N104312, 2 each and Supplemental Airfield Lighting Kit
(SALKIT) P/N SN104383, 2 each. Under the Department of Defense (DOD)
Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) Program, this acquisition is for test
and evaluation of MOSLS and associated support services. The Government
intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C.
2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 and DFARS 206.302-1(b).
Metalite Aviation Lighting, Winster Grove, Birmingham B44 9EJ, England,
as the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the MOSLS to be
acquired, is the only known source with the knowledge, experience and
technical data required to fulfill this need. Firms that recognize and
produce the required items are encouraged to identify themselves. All
responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by
the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the
requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is
solely within the discretion of the Government. See Numbered Note(s):
