Officer, 617-377-2195. The Commodities Branch of Hanscom AFB intends
to acquire an infrared scanner system with the following
characteristics:(A) A liquid nitrogen cooled Mercad-Tellurid focal
plane array camera with a five x two and a half degree field of view
infrared lens systems reponding in the eight to twelve micron infrared
region. Spatial resolution at 50% modulation shall be 230 elements per
line and 136 lines per frame. A filter wheel containing the following
wavelength bandpass filters: 6.254 micron HW 1.209 narrow bandpass,
7.82 to 13.24 microns, 8.18 to 9.36 microns, 9.14 to 9.68 microns,
10.13 to 11.91 microns; (B) a system controller operable from a
standard 115 VAC supply which includes (1) a 1.44 MB floppy drive, (2)
a 540 MB hard drive, (3) a 1.0 windburst disk with interface, (4) a 13
GB DAT recorder, (5) a keyboard, (6) image processing and system
operating software, (7), a mouse, and (8) a users manual; (C) a three
meter, and an amplified 30 meter length controller to camera interface
cable; (D) an external windburst hard drive adapter with mounting
connector and two (each) four GB winburst disks; (E) hard-side,
confromal-padded camera and controller shipping and transport cases;
(F) the system shall be capable of operating in temperature
environments of -15 to + 55 degrees centigrade, in vibration
environments of 5 G MAX from 5 to 2000 HZ, and shock environments of 25
G. This system is commercially available as an Agema model
970SWD/LWB/LN 193-337 scanner with 3 meter and amplified 30 meter
length scanner cables, 199 system controller, 193-485 5.0 x 2.5 degree
field of view infrared lend system, ERIKE 3.0 software, 1.44 MB floppy
drive, 540 MB hard drive, 1.0 GB Windburst disk and interface, 1.3 GB
