BARLOW-JACKSON (202) 782-1246 (Site Code DADA15) Walter Reed Army Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the Perkin Elmer Chemistry Analyzer which is required to accommodate the increased workload from the Department of the Army's Blood and Lead Program and other Healthcare Clinics requiring environmental analysis. These analysis include metals of both physiological and environ- mental nature such as copper, zinc, mercury, lead, and arsenic. This analyzer is also need to provide additional services as well as back-up and compatibility with the instrumentation presently in the laboratory. The manufacturer, Perkin Elmer, and the chemistry analyzer was selected by the Department of the Army's Program so that there would be unified instrument- ation, methodologies, and accuracy of results throughout the program's selected analytical sites.
