A -- CENTER FOR MONITORING RESEARCH: ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING, AND TRANSFER SOL DASG60-96-R-0039 POC Victoria R. Binford, Contract Specialist, CSSD-CM-CN/Linda N. Bentley, Contracting Officer, CSSD-CM-CN, (205) 955-1187. The U.S. Army Space and Strategic Defense Command (USASSDC), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Office, intends to enter into a noncompetitive contract to continue the on-going work of the Center for Monitoring Research (CMR). The effort will continue the support of research, development, testing, operation and transfer of technologies to collect and fuse surveillance sensor data. The effort will focus particularly on those technologies needed by the United States (US) to negotiate and monitor the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NNPT), and various regimes established thereunder to monitor the proliferation and use of weapons of mass destruction. A SECRET facility clearance will be required. There is no foreign participation expected on this acquisition. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), this action is directed toward Science Applications International Corporation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, responses received from interested sources will be considered by the Government. All responses should be directed to CSSD-CM-CN/Victoria R. Binford and must be received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
