Specialist (202) 366-9563 The objectives of this procurement are to (1)
develop media messages for the general public that support anti-DWI-
norms. (2) Pretest the messages to determine whether they produce the
desired results. Note: Distributing and/or promoting the developed
media messages is not included in the objective of this project. The
messages shall be designed to change peoples' norms, or standards of
behavior, regarding drinking and driving. The messages should encourage
individuals who currently drive after drinking to no longer engage in
this behavior. The message should also encourage individuals to stop
other from driving and drinking. The objective of the message should be
to get individuals to accept the norm of avoiding alcohol-impaired
driving. The message should be based on NHTSA's previous norms research
(however, relevant information from other research, etc. should not be
