D -- EASTNET NETWORK MANAGER SERVICES SOL RFP IA0300-S6234668-MB DUE 070196 POC Contract Administrator, Marlene Brooks; 202-205-9664, Fax: 202-205-5466 Network Manager to deliver analog and digital video and associated multiple audio and data carriers via satellite from the USIA Television studios in Washington, DC. to all United States Information Service (USIS) posts located at U.S. Embassies and other diplomatic missions throughout the European and African continents as covered by the beam of a C Band satellite transponder having edge of beam coverage of at least 31 dBW EIRP. In addition to the service listed above, the Network Manager shall provide service to the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) of Asia using a C Band Global beam (or equivalent) which provides an EIRP of at least 26 dBW or greater at edge of beam. For each satellite space segment, fully saturated transponders shall be exculsively dedicated to USIA's WORLDNET signal. The video and associated audio and data signals originate in the U.S. with the multiple downlinks being received by small antenna Television Receive Only (TVRO) systems located on USIS premises throughout the European, African and Asian continents in the signal standard indigenous to the reception area. The TVROs including their performance, maintenance, and operation are specifically excluded. Period of performance: April 1, 1997 through March 31, 1998 plus six (6) one-year options to renew.
