The Navy intends to solicit and award a contract for engineering and technical services in support of AN/WSC-3 UFH radios on a sole source basis from the original equipment manufacturer, E-Systems Inc., ECI Div., St. Petersburg, FL. The proposed cost reimbursement contract will specify required services on an individual delivery order basis. The contract shall provide such services as: equipment overhaul, repair, and refurbishment; technical assistance to ship and shore stations; generation of engineering change proposals; design, fabrication and testing of field change kits, reconfiguration of equipment; configuration management and firmware support; modification and maintenance of documents and technical manuals. Performance will take place at the contractor's facility and at locations within and outside the continental U.S. The proposed contract will have a one year base ordering period, commencing approx. Oct 1, 1996, and will include four options, each for an additional one year period. It is estimated that the base year will require 10,030 hours, with 20,630 hrs in Opt 1, 21, 150 hrs in Opt II, 19,210 hrs. in Opt III, and 17,020 hrs in Opt IV.
