As announced in an earlier notice in the Commerce Business Daily, the Bureau of the Census has a requirement to obtain technical services in five major areas: 1) technology services; 2) assessment, planning, and analysis; 3) statistical analysis; 4) methodological research, and 5) minority-focused and special populations research. We anticipate awarding multiple fixed-price, indefinite quantity, labor hour contracts in each of the five subject areas, with one award in each area to a small, small and disadvantaged or women-owned firm. The projected period of performance will be for one year, with four one-year renewal options. The Bureau of the Census extends an invitation to the vendor community to attend a pre-solicitation conference, for the purpose of disseminating information in the form of a draft of the Request for Proposal, and a discussion of the acquisition process being undertaken. The conference is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5, 1996, at 1:30 pm in the Morris Hansen Auditorium, Federal Building 3 at the Suitland Federal Center. Attendance will be by advance reservation only.
