70 -- PATIENT INDEX AND GATEWAY SOL RFP 500-47-96 DUE 061896 POC Contracting Officer: Joseph Turton or Karen Comiskey (518)462-3311 The Albany IRM Field Office, Troy, NY is seeking,qualified, responsible firms who have the necessary resources to develop and build a master patient index and gateway software products in the ''M'' language using/resuing existing VA software utilities. The Master Patient Index/gateway project is the supporting component to identify a patient and to promote sharing of patient data between operationally diverse systems. The Master Patient Index (MPI) maintains unique patient identifiers and a current list of facilities subscribing to a patient's data. The Gateway establishes connectivity between systems and processes and links to the MPI for message processing and patient identification. Evaluations will be performed to determine if each offer is technically acceptable. A technically acceptable proposal must clearly show that the offeror has the qualifications and capacity to meet the technical criteria required by the Statement of Work.
