Project consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, labor, and equipment, and performing all operations necessary to replace the existing underground grease interceptor/separator, located at Mitchell Hall, USAF Academy. Work includes demolition; removing the soil cover, removing concrete access planks and opening the pit/vault; pumping out the pit and the existing tank, diverting water flow through the existing bypass; removal of existing catwalk and handrail; removal and disposal of old tank; removal and disposal of all existing electrical controls, conduit, conductors, receptacles, lighting, switches, sump pumps, fans and debris in the existing pit; cleaning the walls and floor of the pit; furnishing and installing new stainless steel tank (J.R. Smith Mfg. Co. Model 8920 or equal), electrical controls, conduit, conductors, receptacles, lighting, switches, sump pumps, fan and fan controls; making needed mechanical and electrical connections, reconnecting the piping, rerouting water flow and ensuring proper operation and function; reinstallation of existing catwalk and handrail; and closing the pit back up, reinstalling concrete planks, sealing, and resodding. This acquisition is estimated to cost between $25,000 and $100,000.
