ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS received as of May 09, 1996 in response to Solicitation Number SSA-RFP-96-2582: QUESTION 1: Does Item No. 19 require 12-14 picofards or does it have to be 8 in order to meet your criteria? ANSWER: Twelve-fourteen picofards meets SSA requirements. QUESTION 2: In Addendum A, Section B--Cost/Price Tables, there are some item numbers where more than one price needs to be indicated--Item No. 12 Belden 8241 PVC or equal, Belden 88241 Plenum or equal. The PVC & Plenum products are two distinctly different items. RESPONSE: SSA needs BOTH Belden 8241 PVC or equal AND Belden 88241 Plenum or equal. QUESTION 3: Item No. 13 Belden 8240 PVC or equal, Belden 88240 Plenum, or equal. The PVC & Plenum products are two distinctly different items. RESPONSE: SSA needs BOTH Belden 8240 PVC or equal AND Belden 88240 Plenum or equal. QUESTION 4: Item No. 14, Belden 8102 and 9684, 8102 is 2 pair; 9684 is 12 1/2 pair. RESPONSE: Item description No. 14 has been revised as follows--RS232 low capacitance EIA cable, 1, 2, 3, 12-1/2 Twisted Pair, 100 Ohms, 100% Braid, 24 AWG Stranded, Insulated, 1000'/roll Belden P/Ns 88641, 8102, 8103, & 9684 or equal. QUESTION 5: Item No. 16, Standard cable ties to support 18,30, 50, 120, 175, 250 lbs. Ties also come in different lengths that affect price. RESPONSE: SSA requires the following minimum lengths of cable ties: 18 lbs=8''long; 30 lbs=11-1/2''long; 50 lbs=15-1/2''long; 120 lbs=15-1/4'' long; 175 lbs=15''long; and 250 lbs=20''long. ADDENDUM A, SECTION B-- COST/PRICE TABLES IS REVISED TO ACCOMMODATE THE ABOVE RESPONSES TO FIVE QUESTIONS. All offerors who previously submitted a request for the Addendum will automatically be sent revised Section B--Cost/Price Tables. All new requests for a copy of the Addendum will receive the REVISED Section B, Cost/Price Tables. Additionally, SADIE BBS will be modified to include the revisions set forth above.
