This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for NSN 5895-01-160-0483, part number 10-156288-1, Decoder-Receiver with a potential quantity of 2, and NSN 5998-01-233-0424, part number 10-166589-1, Circuit Card Assembly with a potential quantity of 9. These items are used in the AN/USD-9A and 9B Guardrail Common Sensor Systems. The previous source was ESL Inc. (now TRW-SIG) 495 Java Drive, P.O. Box 3510 Sunnyvale, CA. 94088-3510. Detailed technical for the manufacture or acceptance of these NSNs is not available from the Army. Suppliers capable of furnishing these NSNs must so indicate by writing to Commander, CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-ED-IG (Ryan), Fort Monmouth, NJ., 07703-5000. This response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase orders, if the supplier was/is a vendor to the previous source, or a statment from the previous source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact supply an item that will be physically and functionally interchangeable (down to the repair part level) with the item acquired from the previous supplier. Successful suppliers may be required to warrant that the items supplied will perform satisfactorily when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
