The National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) is currently upgrading its local area network and intends to negotiate only with Cisco Systems of Altanta, GA to procure a Cisco Catalyst 5000 series Fast-Ethernet switch modular base system with a five-slot system chassis, which includes a required Supervisor Engine for one slot and a single power supply. The remaining four slots will be used for two 10BaseT 24-interface modules, and two 100BaseTX 12-interface modules.
