The U.S. Department of Education is planning to procure services for the Statistical Standard Services Group of the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) to perform a wide array of technical assistance tasks in the following areas: methodological studies on sample survey topics; computer support for NCES staff in analyses using NCES and other education related data bases; technical assistance to NCES staff in support of external data users; evaluation studies to assess the quality of NCES products and services; re-engineering NCES customer service strategies; upgrading NCES staff skills and knowledge in survey design, analyses and data presentation; and training analysts/researchers outside NCES to use Center's data.
