The JDAM Program Office intends to award a sole source contract to RMES to support the upgrade of the telephone system to allow video teleconferencing. The contract will require the contractor to provide VTC hardware and engineering specifications, installation of server and client hardware and integration on existing NEC 2400 PBX serving 700 customers. The contractors will also have to provide training and system support for five years. This contract requires integrating the VTC equipment into a telephone system previously cabled and programmed to meet the specific requirements of the various program offices within the building. RMES provided the system design, cabling and specialized programming of the present telephone system, and the government does not have the specific design data package of the telephone system to be upgraded.
