Assistance Division, Bldg. 301, Room B117, Gaithersburg, MD 20899 66 -- HOOD RADIATION MONITORING SYSTEM SOL 52SBNB6C9178 DUE 061796 POC
Marsha Rodgers (301) 975-6398 The National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Hood Radiation Monitoring
System. This central (indoor) monitoring system, including existing
detectors which are positioned at the hood filters, consists of the
components to power and monitor the signal from the detectors, analyze
data, and provide and record specified alarm signals. The central
data-collection device (possibly a PC but not required to be one) shall
selectively display the data for each detector so that data display
devices, e.g. ratemeters, for individual detectors is not required. The
normally observed radiation levels on the (unshielded) detectors at
these filters is environmental background and the primary monitoring
objective is to sense abnormal increases above ground. To accomplish
this, the system shall meet all specifications detailed in the
solicitation.--F.O.B. Destination, Gaithersburg, Maryland--Required
Delivery Time 120 Days--Evaluation Criteria shall include the
capability to perform all functions, technical quality, ease of use of
the instrument, and experience. All responsible sources may submit a
proposal which shall be considered by the Agency--A solicitation shall
be issued with an approximate award date of June 21, 1996. Please
request copies of the solicitation in writing--Fax Number (301)
