A -- NASA RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ATMOSPHERIC EFFECTS OF AVIATION PROJECT SOL NRA-96-OA-01 POC Howard L. Wesoky tel: 202/358-0833 Atmospheric Effects of Aviation Project, NASA Research Announcement NRA-96-OA-01, due not later than 4:30 pm, August 19, 1996, POC Howard L. Wesoky. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) intends to solicit Research Proposals for science investigations directed at collecting and analyzing observational data for use in understanding and predicting the atmospheric effects of subsonic aviation at cruise altitudes. The selected investigations will be conducted as part of the ongoing effort by the Subsonic Assessment (SASS) element of NASA's Atmospheric Effects of Aviation Project (AEAP) to assess the atmospheric impact of subsonic aviation, in particular commerical aircraft cruise emissions. The SASS effort is sponsored by the Advanced Subsonic Technology Program within the NASA Office of Aeronautics. New proposals, as well as renewal proposals for expiring tasks, are desired for all of these areas. This solicitation is open to all categories of organizations, foreign and domestic.
