95-0027 Replace Unit Substations US-1, US-2 and US-3 Building 36,
Section BC. Work consits of furnishing all labor, materials, and
equipment to perform all work in strict accordance with the
specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for a
project to Replace Unit Subatation US-1, US-2 and US-3 Building 36,
Section BC, 3200 S. 2nd St., St. Louis, MO 63118. Work is to include
relocation of wall sections to combine smaller existing electrical
spaces into one large electrical space, separated from other equipment
by fire rated walls. Three existing obsolete indoor unit substations
will be replaced by one new double-ended substation including two 5 KV
switch sections, two 1500 KVA transformers and a 480 volt distribution
section with main, tie and distribution circuit breakers. Two sets of
5 KV conducters will be provided by the Contractor from existing
outdoor switchgear through existing ducts to feed the new unit
substation. A 480/208 volt transformer and electrical panels will be
provided by the Contractor, 480 volt and 208 volt circuits will be
relocated or added. An air handling unit will be provided by the
Contractor. The work shall be performed by an electrical contractor who
has three years experience in medium voltage work. All work is to be
accomplished in strict accordance with applicable DMA, EPA, NFPA, and
OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 120 days.
The Contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on
premium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. The
approximate cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
This work is located at the Defense Mapping Agency facilities at 3200
South Second Street, which is east of Broadway and south of Arsenal
Street in South City of St. Louis. SIC: 1731, 100% Set Aside for Small
