Units will be procured using a performance based specification. Approximate date of solicitation is 26 Jul 96. These TFRA's will be form, fit, functionally interchangeable with the current configuration (NSN 6615-01-275-4675) and shall interface with other systems on the aircraft. Approximate chassis dimensions are 6 in wide, 7 in high, and 20 in deep. Function is to provide interface between the Terrain Following Radar and Flight Control System. Competitive solicitations will be issued to all interested sources. Draft copies of the Statement of Objectives (SOO), performance specification, and Section L & M solicitation clauses are avilable and will be provided upon request. Source will be selected using the Performance-Price-Tradeoff method requiring simultaneous submission of technical, cost, and performance volumes. Award will be made to the firm submitting a technically acceptable proposal which represents the best value to the government, cost and performance considered equally.
