The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City, Florida intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to Metron, Inc., 11911 Freedom Drive, Reston, VA. for the design of Tactical Decision Aid and Post-Mission Analysis Software. The contractor shall design an automated tactical decision aid that will assist LAMPS Mk-1 mine countermeasure mission-planners by providing suggested track spacing, number of recommended overflights, and estimates of the time required for a given search. The contractor shall also design an automated post-mission analysis system which will be capable of providing test and graphical data depicting and describing areas of sensor holidays and prioritized, likely mine contacts, based on Magic Lantern (Deployment Contingency) systems data. A large part of the Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) code refinements and parameter optimization were products of Metron, Inc.. Metron, Inc. developed the software which will be used to accurately assess system performance after flight test. All documentation required to perform this design and development effort was generated by Metron, Inc. The highest security classification for work under this Purchase Order is SECRET. Access to classified areas and documents will be required for the performance of this task. Period of Performance is 60 days after Purchase Order award. See Note 22. (0138)
