Contracting Officer (512) 326-6018 The MARCITS acquisition is to
provide contract resources for information technology services needed
to satisfy Austin Automation Center (AAC) customer requirements for a
period not to exceed five years. AAC is seeking customer service
oriented partners with excellent track records, that are proactive
problem solvers and can offer innovation in terms and conditions, at
reasonable prices. This is a commercial solicitation. The ten
functional areas of service included in the acquisition are: (1)
Application Design, Development and Maintenance, (2) Independent
Validation and Verification, (3) Systems/Facilities Management &
Maintenance Support (includes seven sub-functions), (4) Office
Automation Support, (5) Systems Integration Services, (6) Information
System Security Support Services (includes Disaster Recovery and
Planning), (7) Electronic Commerce/Electronic Data Interchange Support,
(8) Communications Systems Support, (9) Training, Presentations, and
Multimedia Support, (10) Technical and Special Analyses, Strategic
Planning, Program Assessments and Studies. AAC will evaluate proposals
on a best value basis using Past Performance as the most significant
evaluation factor. Technical and management proposals may not be more
than fifty typewritten pages combined. It is the intent, where
possible, to have a minimum of three contractors in each functional
area (vendors may receive award in one, or more than one functional
area). At least one contract award in each area will be to a small
business. Offerors may propose one functional area, all functional
areas, or a combination of areas. There will be no extra evaluation
credit for offering all areas; proposals will not be downgraded for
offering only one or some areas. Task orders will vary in scope and
complexity. Therefore, AAC encourages both large and small businesses
to submit offers. MARCITS contracts will be requirements contracts,
with the total value of task orders not to exceed $100,000,000.
Contractors will be considered for competition on all task orders based
on criteria set forth in the solicitation. A vendor conference is
planned, with details to be included in the solicitation package.
Solicitation packages may be requested in writing only. AAC will not
respond to verbal requests. vendors may fax their written request to
the Contracting Officer at (512) 326-6175. The Request for Proposals
