DAHC92) Sources sought for the United States Southern Command
(USSOUTHCOM), Panama, for a Contract to be performed at Fort Sherman,
Panama (Atlantic Side) with a base and approximately 2.5 option years
with a start date of 1 October 1996. Contract is Cost Plus Award Fee
and is projected to run through December 1999. The Contractor shall
furnish all necessary management, personnel, materials, equipment,
services, and transportation, except as otherwise provided for herein
required to perform maintenance, repair and construction activities,
support Repair and Utilities (R&U) Team activities, and provide support
to Military Unit projects, exercises and functions. Maintenance and
repair activities include emergency, one day and routine repairs to
buildings & structures, pest control, street cleaning, refuse
collection and grounds maintenance; mechanical systems preventive
maintenance and filter replacement; and automated management of all
maintenance related data. Support to R&U Team include issuing of
construction materials to Jungle Operations Training Battalion (JOTB)
repair and utilities self-help activities. The Contractor will be
required to perform maintenance, repair, demolition, construction and
alterations work on all real property facilities in Ft. Sherman,
including but not limited to buildings and other structures, roads,
pavements, fences, grounds, utilities and related equipment, training
areas and facilities and other related facilities, except communication
lines and equipment. For information purposes only, the contractor is
advised that work on roads pavements, fences and major concrete work
may not be issued in the early stages of the contract (Base Period).
The Contractor's work and responsibility shall include all planning,
contract administration, and reconstruction, alterations, and self-help
operations are performed in compliance with the contract and all
applicable laws, regulations, codes, and directives. The contractor
shall identify and submit for approval, all work necessary to comply
with the Scope of Work. A contract award of 1 October 1996 is
anticipated. The award will be made on the best value basis.
