The requirement will include on-site service by resident technician required with technician availability for emergency off-duty hours. Bench stock and special test equipment will be necessary. Technicians must be certified by one of the following organizations: NABER, Electronics Technicians Association, International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians, NICET, or National Association Association of Radio and Telecommunications Engineers. Technicians must be certified to maintain/inspect Data Encryption Standard equipment and to perform Intrinsically Safe inspections. The requirement will be for a basic contract period plus four annual options and a one-to-six month short option. Proposal evaluation will be include submission of a technical proposal in accordance with criteria stated in the RFP. This requirement is 100 percent set aside for small business with size in accordance with standard industrial classification 7622. The anticipated release date of the RFP is: 96 June 27.
