S -- SECURITY SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE SOL RFP5-51006/113 POC E. Ann Haase, Contract Specialist, (301) 286-8637; Steven T. Kramer, Contracting Officer, (301) 286-6872. This is a notice of intent to issue a draft Request for Proposal (RFP)5-51006/113, on or about June 3, 1996, for industry comment. This effort is a competitive procurement and is a set-aside for 8(a) firms. The SIC Code is 7381. It is anticipated that this will be a fixed-price/fixed-price-idefinite-quantity type contract with a 1 year basic period of performance and 4 one-year options. The RFP requires that the contractor provide, operate, and maintain an armed, uniformed protective security force for the physical protection of the NASA security interests and to provide the management, supervision, and administration. In addition, the contractor shall provide professional and technically trained personnel, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform a wide range of varied and continuing security and security related duties at GSFC. These security support services include locksmithing, electronic security, classified document control, material destruction, security container (safe) tracking, identification services, key and keycard control, ivestigative services, personnel security support, weapons maintenance, program/security engineering support, emergency medical technical personnel, and other such related duties. Also, the contractor will provide uniformed protective security at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) and will provide security engineering services at White Sands, New Mexico.
