This is a sources sought announcement only. A solicitation will not be issued as a result of this announcement. A new CBD announcement will be published if a solicitation is developed. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station is seeking potential sources to provide manual-auto inflation systems for fully inflatable life preservers. Inflation systems with Use Codes 1F and 2F will be considered. The inflation systems must be certified to the inflation system requirements in Underwriters Laboratories standard UL1191, Second Edition (May 16, 1995 Revision). Suppliers of these systems shall be certifiable to ISO 9000 (or ASQC Q9000) standards for quality systems. It is anticipated that additional requirements which address overall physical durability and ruggedness of the inflation system will also be invoked.
