THIS NOTICE IA A CORRECTION TO THE CBD ANNOUNCEMENT WHICH APPEARED 20 MAY 96 IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A FAX NUMBER AND TO IDENTIFY THE PROCUREMENT AS BEING UNRESTRICTED. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, intends to procure for the delivery of approximately 250 - 5 gallon bottles of spring water per week. The Government anticipates issuance of a one year contract with four option years. Delivery shall be two times per week. (Except when the Government is closed, at which time the contractor shall deliver the following work day). The Contractor may be required to increase the number of bottles during the summer months as well as other times during the life of the contract but in no event shall the increase exceed 25% of the total amount of the contract. Price shall be based on the cost per bottle delivered at each specific location. The Contractor shall deliver water bottles to approximately 104 buildings/rooms/floors per the schedule (statement of work). The schedule will be part of the solicitation package. Schedules are subject to change due to demands station wide. No central stock piling will be allowed on site. The contractor shall be required to have a warehouse within a 50-mile radius of the Carderock site. NSWC Carderock Headquarters have been tested and identified as having high levels of lead contamination in the potable water supply lines. Therefore, deliveries are mandatory to be made as scheduled. Failure to perform to this requirement will lead to immediate termination of this contract. RFP's shall be issued on or about 3 Jun 96 and closing approximately 30 days thereafter.
