The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, has a requirement for a Microwave Data Link (MDL). The MDL shall be a replacement to the existing system between Shellman Bluff, GA and ocean platform R2. The contractor shall design, develop, plan, install, integrate and document a fully operational and supportable MDL System. The MDL System shall consist of the radios, orderwire system, Radio Performance Monitoring System (RPMS), and miscellaneous hardware required to replace the existing Shellman Bluff/R2 link. The contract type is anticipated to be firm-fixed-price. The period of performance is for eight (8) months, beginning on the effective date of the contract. The Government requires delivery to be made within eight months after contract Award. The contract also has an Option requirement for spare parts. The Government requires delivery of the spare parts within four months after exerise of Option.
