This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This request for proposal (RFP) has been assigned DE-RP04-96AL89098 and should be referenced on all offers/responses to this announcement. The RFP is issued as full and open competition for specific make/model pursuant to 40 USC 759(g) as amended. For information purposes, the assigned Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this procurement is 5045 with a corresponding size standard of 100 employees. This commercial item RFP incorporates the provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37. Only those vendors who can provide the following items including the trade-in need respond. No substitute items will be accepted. CLIN1--2 EA, Data General #30818-G10N, AOS/VS DG/SQL License for CPU Class G, #31758-G10N. CLIN2--3 EA, AOS/VS II TCP/1P II License for CPU Class G. CLIN3--1 EA, #31718-H10N, AOS/VS IITCP/IP II License for CPU Class H. CLIN4--Trade-in allowance for 60 each Data General Terminals #D464, gray color, 80/130 column, amber text/graphics.. Delivery is Pennsylvania & K Streets, KAFB East, Bldg. 20397, Albuquerque, NM 87116, FOB Destination, and is required within 60 days of award. Acceptance shall occur upon installation and operation verification at the Secure Communications (SECOM) Center. Provision FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial, and FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition without addenda. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of lowest overall price to the government including the trade-in allowance for DG equipment. Offers will only be accepted from authorized dealers or manufacturers of the Data General software. Offers not providing for a trade-in will not be considered.
