Brooks Operational Contracting intends to enter into negotiations with Canberra Industries, 800 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450 on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, to provide for one each Mobile Radioanalytical Laboratory. This Mobile Radioanalytical Laboratory must have at least a 35 foot fifth wheel type trailer with expandable sides and a tractor trailer truck to tow the trailer and the equipment. Trailer must have three separate sections designed to allow for sample preparation, sample counting, and administration. Truck and trailer must be capable of worldwide deployment via an Air Force C-5 or C-17 type aircraft. Design must meet appropriate AF and DOD regulations for transportation of this type of equipment. Truck must have a diesel generator mounted on the truck to support the power requirements of the trailer. The truck must have hazardous chemical storage units that meet with air and ground transportation regulations. Trailer must include at least a 3 foot exhaust hood with particulate filter, steel counter tops and adequate sample preparation work area. Trailer must include a sink with hot and cold running water. Must include a VMS based Canberra Gamma Spectroscopy System for compatibility with current in-house system in place at the Radioanalytical Branch. Must include the following: one each manual Freo-Electric Hyper-Pure Germanium Detector with 2 inch shielding, one each Packard 2770TR Low-Level Alpha/Beta Liquid Scintillation Counter, and one each Gamma products AQ400 Gas-Flow Proportional Alpha/Beta Counter.
