Institute of Standards & Technology requires an Ultraviolet Imaging
Photon Detector. Complete specifications as follows: 1) Imager Tube:
overall detection quantum efficiency )10% in 200-400nm range, dark
counts under =500/sec, spatial resolution better than 70 um in
200-400nm range, input aperture of detector and active photocathode
area on the order of 25x25 mm, and high voltage supply for photocathode
and possible divider network for multichannel plates and anode. 2)
Position Electronics: counting deadtime under =8 usec, corresponding to
count rates as high as =100,000/sec, analog position output for
real-time display, and 10-bit digital position output (1024 x 1024
pixels) for computer interface. 3)Computer Interface And Software: data
acquisition interface card for digital position outputs (IBM-compatible
personal computer), Histogramming and integration digital display
software (IBM-compatible personal computer). There will be no formal
RFQ. Interested sources proposing to supply an equivalent unit must
submit a written quote, by fax or mail, establishing capability to meet
the above requirements within 15 days from the date of synopsis.
