68 -- LIME, CHEMICAL HYDRATED, 68% CALCIUM OXIDE CONTENT SOL DABT10-96-R-0026 DUE 061096 POC Contract Specialist GENE JORDAN (706) 545-2426 (Site Code DABT10) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format is Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. DABT10-96-R-0026 is issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. Solicitation is a 100 percent small business setaside, SIC Code 2819, and small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Line Item: 0001; Estimated Quantity: 7,000; Unit: Bag, for the period 1 Jul 96 through 30 Jun 97. Lime, Chemical Hydrated, minimum 68% Calcium Oxide, shall conform to AWWA Standard B202-65, Sec 9A.2.1, and ANSI/NSF Standard 60. Lime shall be delivered FOB Destination to the Water Treatment Plant, Building 244, Fort Benning, Georgia. Contractor shall deliver lime in 50-lb bags on flat bed trucks, palletized on non-returnable pallets. No more than one ton shall be placed on each pallet and pallets shall be loaded so that the wide openings are to the side of the truck and forklift holes face the rear of the truck. An oral call followed by a Delivery Order will be issued indicating the date and quantity to be delivered. Delivery shall be made within eight (8) calendar days from receipt of oral call. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Submit signed and dated offers to the office specified in this solicitation. Offers may be submitted on the SF 1449, letterhead stationary, or as otherwise specified in the solicitation. As a minimum offers must show: Solicitation Number; time specified in solicitation for receipt of offers; name, address and telephone number of offeror; a technical description of item being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with requirement in the solicitation; price and any discount terms; remit to address if different than mailing address; a completed copy of the representations and certifications at FAR 52.212-3; acknowledgement of solicitation amendments (if any); past performance information, to include recent and revelant contracts; if offer is not submitted on SF 1449, include a statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions, and provisions included in the solicitation. Offers that fail to furnish required representations or information, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. Offeror agrees to hold the price in its offer firm for a period of 30 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers, unless another time period is specified in an addendum to the solicitation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Changes in the terms and conditions of this contract may be made only by written agreement of the parties. This contract is subject to the Contract Disputes Act of 1978, as amended (41 U.S.C. 601-613). Disputes arising under this contract shall be resolved in accordanace with FAR 52.233-1, Disputes which is incorporated herein by reference.
