Correction: The AMC Contracting Flight issued a competitive solicitation for the acquisition of Lodging Furnishings for all AMC bases. This synopsis was issued on 19 Apr 96. This correction removes the requirement for bedspreads and draperies from the original synopsis. It was originally anticipated that a waiver would be received from UNICOR for the bedspreads and draperies, however, a waiver will not be issued for these two items, and in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 8.602, these items will be procured from UNICOR. In addition, this modification changes the due date of proposals to 22 Jul 96 in lieu of 20 Jun 96. Therefore, as a result of the above changes, the corrected synopsis is as follows: The Air Mobility Command (AMC) Contracting Flight anticipates issuance of a competitive solicitation for Lodging Furnishings at all AMC Bases. The AMC Bases are as follows: Andrews AFB, MD, Charleston AFB, SC, Dover AFB, DE, Fairchild AFB, WA, Grand Forks AFB, ND, McChord AFB, WA, McConnell AFB, KS, McGuire AFB, NJ, Scott AFB, IL, and Travis AFB, CA. In addition to these bases, AMC anticipates adding the furnishing requirements for up to two additional bases. The supplies required include carpeting and furniture. It is anticipated that multiple firm-fixed price contracts will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Period of performance is date of award through 30 Sep 97 with four one-year option periods. The RFP is anticipated to be released on or about 20 Jun 96. When requesting copies of the solicitation, indicate what portion or portions of the solicitation (i.e. carpeting and/or furniture) you are interested in, so that the appropriate samples may be forwarded with the solicitation. The Contracting Officer cannot guarantee receipt of the RFP if the ZIP PLUS FOUR code is not provided. Verbal requests will not be acted upon.
