contract consists of: (1) reviewing and evaluating relevant practices
and utilizing material to the maximum extent possible (curriculum
material, tests, reports, technical papers, etc.) that deal with all
aspects of maintenance and replacement of bridge paint systems
containing hazardous materials, (2) organizing the material and
developing the Participant Workbook and Instructor's Guide, and
creating the visual aids necessary and all other training aids
necessary for proper presentation of the course, (3) presenting two
pilots and up to 100 training courses, and (4) updating and
reformatting the material to address changing regulations and evolving
needs. All responsible businesses may submit a proposal which will be
considered by FHWA, SIC 8732. The period of performance is 60 months.
The due date identified above is the approximate due date for receipt
of proposals. To receive a copy of the solicitation, submit a written
request to the address above. To expedite the request, please furnish
two self-addressed gummed labels. The solicitation number should
appear on the bottom edge of the labels. NOTE: The Department of
Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned, and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are
available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
line of credit is $500,000. For further information and applicable
