The American Embassy Bonn intends to issue a solicitation (RFP) for renovation work. The work consists of a three story building with twelve apartments, a basement, and attic. The total living space is approx. 16,000 square meters. The work includes but is not limited to: installation of new electrical, heating, plumbing lines, television cables, fire alarm, and telephone lines in all apartments, and repair of plaster thereafter; painting of doors, walls, and ceilings; installation of Government-supplied carpets, replacement of doors. The magnitude of this project, for one building and three options (three additional buildings) is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. See numbered note 26. All requests for the solicitation must be in writing or by fax (49-228-334681 or 333575). In order to receive one set of the plans and specifications for this project, requesters must make payment, in the form of a check for U.S. $100 or DM 150. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled on site for on or about 2 July 1996. The solicitation package will be issued on or about 21 June 1996 and will be available from the American Embassy Bonn.
