Z -- REPAIR TREAT ISLAND WHARF, EASTPORT, MAINE SOL DAWC33-96-Q-0087 DUE 071096 POC Norman Krause, 617-647-8833 The work of this project consists of repairs to the Treat Island wharf and access stairs. Wharf repairs consist of removing and replacing rotted deck boards, providing bearing blocks, and strapping boards for main beams. Stair repairs consist of removing and replacing the upper and lower access stairways. New stairways shall be constructed 3'' X 12'' stringers with 3'' X 10'' treads. New stairs shall be lagged and thru bolted to existing piles. A significant portion of the work is below mean sea level, and access to this work will be limited by the daily tidal cycle. Site access is available only by boat. Estimated cost of the work is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Work shall be completed within 60 calendar days. Plans and specifications available on or about 061096 at a cost of $10.00 per set. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the New England Division. (0142)
