58 -- SBRGS AMPLITUDE AND PHASE CONTROL UNIT (APCU) SOL DTFA-02-96-B-60008 DUE 061996 POC Brenda Welchel, Contract Specialist, 405-954-7736 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for 24 each, NSN 8200-00-400-9113-1, SBRGS Amplitude and Phase Control Units (APCU's), Type FA-9929. First article testing of two (2) each units is required. The required delivery date for first articles is 90 days from date of contract award. The required delivery for the production quantity of twenty-two (22 each) is 120 days from date of first article approval. The FOB point is destination. Inspection and acceptance is at destination. Units will be manufactured in accordance with FAA Purchase Description NASED-N-116, Type FA-9929 Sideband Reference Glide Slope Amplitude and Phase Control Unit; FAA Specification FAA-E-2492/2b, Turnkey Facility Establishment for Instrument Landing System, Part 2, System Equipment Requirements; FAA Standard FAA-STD-013d, Quality Control Program Requirements; and various aperture cards and drawings which will be furnished with the solicitation package. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3812. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Requests for the solicitation must be in writing. Due to the large number of aperture cards and drawings that are applicable and must be sent with this solicitation package, a limited number, fifteen (15) each, of solicitation packages will be maintained for issuance in response to this synopsis on a first come - first serve basis. Therefore, interested firms should submit their written request via facsimile to FAX # 405-954-9219, Attn: Brenda Welchel, as soon as possible. The cut-off date for requesting bid packages will be two weeks from the date of this publication or immediately upon receipt of fifteen requests for the bid package, whichever is sooner. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
