The Air Force intends to purchase Telephones, INMARSAT ''M'' and INMARSAT ''B'' for the Pentagon, DC. INMARSAT ''M'' AND INMARSAT ''B'' are lightweight and portable. Must be capable of providing near global access to the international telephone, facsimile and data network. INMARSAT ''B'' is standard suitcase size and should have wheels for ease of transport. INMARSAT ''M'' is briefcase size. Must be small enough for airline carry-on. The procurement listed here is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Business (SB) concerns. Interested SB concerns should as early as possible but not later than COB 12 Jun 96, indicate interest in acquisition by providing to the contracting office above, evidence of capability to perform (including references for similar work with telephone numbers, points of contact, and contract numbers) and a positive statement of eligibility as a small business concern. If references and eligibility statements are not submitted for each separate solicitation, those SB concerns will not be considered in determining the set-aside. If adequate interest is not received from SB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Proposed bid date is 12 Jul 96.
