This public notice is to request suppliers to provide NTT with general referential information on similar products or technology prior to procurement of the intended product (mentioned below) by NTT. This public notice is also to request that any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the procurement program of this product should declare their intentions to that effect. This public notice is not intended to guarantee public notification of procurement of the product. (1) Name: Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) for multimedia conferencing. (2) Overview: This MCU connects and controls multiple multimedia conferencing terminals, which adhere to the International Telecommunication Union's Telecommunications Standardization Sector (ITU-T) H. 320, T.120, H324 and H.323/H.320 families of recommendations. (3) Contents of RFI: NTT is inviting the following types of information on a product or technology similar to the above-mentioned system. This is not, however, a request for suppliers to provide proprietary and/or confidential information, (i) Technical information (including product catalogues, sample system configurations, etc.) (ii) Prices (iii) Standard time of delivery after ordering (iv) Records of Sales and installations (v) Other proposals (4) Request for Declaration of the Intention of Participating as a Subcontractor; Any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontractor in the product procurement program of NTT, are requested to supply NTT with the information listed below. After preparing a list of supplied information, NTT will provide the list to suppliers who wish to be provided with it, to those who have responded to the request for supply of the information listed and to those who have purchased the Procurement Documentation relating to procurement of the product.
