AAFES Service Station Site Remediation of Soil and Groundwater. The Government requires remediation of soil and groundwater which were contaminated by leaking underground gasoline storage tanks. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment, operational and material data, training and supplies/spare parts necessary to provide and install a groundwater remediation system; ten injection and recovery wells with pumps and piping; and to excavate and dispose of contaminated soil and replace with clean soil. System must be capable of operating 24-hours per day, 7-days per week. Place of performance is the AAFES Service Station located at Vint Hill Farms Station, Warrenton, VA. Prospective contractors/subcontractors must be able to meet all Federal, State and Local laws, ordinances and regulations governing handling, transportation and disposal of waste materials and environmental protection. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract with a period of performance of 180 days from date of award. The estimated date for release of solicitation is 12 JUN 96.
